Securing linux - How?


i heard that linux is not really secured unless you are configuring it well. my question is how? maybe you have some tutorial on the method of securing linux, or you can just explain me here.

At least, by default, it is more secure than Windows.

It depends on what type of installation you performed (Workstation or Server), a server installation will have more active services.

After completing an installation, you should at least:
- Shutdown unused services.
- Setup a firewall with iptables.
