secure email

I need to start a secure email system with a group of users, most have windows machine and are not computer literate.

I need to fix 2 problems:
1) how to do this on my pc Debian Etch system
2) how to advise the users of what to do on their pc (Windows XP etc)

Can anyone explain or point to suitable info?

I use Thunderbird, GnuPG (Gnu Privacy Guard), and the enigmail plugin on my Windows and Linux PC's to sign and/or encrypt email.

The Keysigning Party How-To would probably be useful information as well, since you should exchange and sign each others keys..
