root plug issue
I am playing around with root_plug to see how well it works... and well here is my issu:
root plug is compiled as module in the kernel. I am using kernel 2.6.15 patched for reiser4. the root file system is reiser4 (if that matters) after typing: modprobe root_plug vendor_id=05af product_id=0802 i get: Root Plug module initialized: vendor_id = 0005 product_id = 0000 allready does'nt sound too good to me. i got the vendor & product info from #cat /proc/bus/usb/device Now if i had the related device plugged or not at the the of modprobe does'nt matter. All root command are not permited. then if i unplug or plug the related device. any root command just hang( i do not get the not permitted warning) and have to use the sysrq reboot command. i have tried with a few device and also giving the eg: 0x062a. all the same I google around for this but there is really not much doc about this. |
just refreshing ...
