Root Password Recovery ?

This post is not about the root password resetting as we alll are doing for some time of now by getting in to single uer mode or by linux rescue, but this is actually about how can i recover root user's password ?

Help me out...

well, the password is encrypted, so you'll need to crack it...

you can try with john the ripper:
