Root password


I forgot myt root password using command prompt how to change the password with out using LILO.

without rebooting? you can't without sudo access or something similar.

well a live cd would require a reboot, so if you're going to reboot, then just use lilo to get in by adding "1" to the boot options

Yes if you are rebooting then you can change password in single user mode.
