removing the 'r' commands

Is it okay to delete the commands for rlogin, rsh, rcp, etc... like all the 'r' commands? I'm trying to make my system more secure (it wasnt in the past, obviously) and that is one of my main concerns. i never use those commands, so it should be okay, right?

A better way:
replace symlink rsh to ssh, rlogin to slogin and rcp to scp.
They have the same interface; you broke no applications and have secure replacements (this is how it is done in debian).

Why not just chmod -x (or 000) them? This way you have the programs effectively "turned off," and still haven't really touched the program, so in case (for whatever reason) you need it in the future, you still have it.

I'll just chmod the programs, since that will require less work in the future if I ever need to use the programs. Thanks for the help!
