Red Hat Linux 9 for i386 bash rpm
Hi All,
Im new with this linux and still want to learn, Im using Red Hat Linux 9 and need help on how to get latest bash rpm (shellshock issue), my problem is my computer not connected to Internet and i want to install manually the RPM package into this machine. Im trying to find any latest package for my RHL 9, but i didnt find it, current bash using "bash-2.05b-20.1386.rpm .. Please advice where i can download latest bash file that could match with my machine.. Thanks! |

That is an almost 12 year old version and long ago unsupported. As you say that you are new to Linux, I would suggest that you start with a more recent distro. RedHat is now by subscription so I would suggest CentOS as the free clone (nearly) would be a better choice. |
the very OLD and very unsupported RH9 will not even install on new hardware
think of it as Windows98 just try to put win98 on a new i7 cpu 64 bit laptop |
