Lightbulb Question about message log

Hi mates, I wonder why my messege log has hundreds of lines like:

Code:
Feb 13 05:32:27 my_machine kernel: eth0: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex, lpa 0x45E1
Feb 13 05:32:27 my_machine kernel: eth0: link down

I have two ethernet network cards. eth0 is the local network interface and eth1 is the internet interface. The local network is made up of two computers (my_machine and other) and it results that the other computer is often off.

Some idea??

Thank you in advance.

I would say that you are properly logging the dynamics of the connection on eth0, if your client is not always running.

Nonzero, very likely you are right, but the reason why I've posted this is because it seems this activity is log every second or few seconds. Don't you think it is too much??? I get my log flooded with these messages. Do you think this behaviour is normal??

If you want I can post a piece of my message log where you can see that...

Thanks mate!

Are you setup as DHCP or static?

Query you logs after issuing - ifconfig eth0 down.
