Qmail Mail Server Problem

Hi,

I host Qmail server on Red Hat AS4 and vpopmail.
My problem is

some accounts

using pop + mail client (e.g outlook)

- receiving side
Subject :SPAM: my subject

using webmail + web interface

- all ok

Only some accounts in the domain.
What is my server problem?
Only that accounts are spammers?

Please advice for me.
What procedure to remove this?

Thanks,
novice06

If I understand, when some accounts download mail from the server with Outlook, it is getting marked as spam, while when they view the same messages with webmail, they are not marked as such.

That makes it sound like Outlook is tagging the messages as spam. In order to figure out why, it is probably going to be necessary to see the full internet headers of a couple of messages.

I suspect it is not really spam but there is something awry with the headers that makes it look to some spam filters like it *might* be spam. Agasin, we would need to examine the headers to see what doesn't look right about it--and prehaps even the body of the message, though that is far less likely.

Another possible cause: Your server's IP address is on a blacklist (check at http://www.dnsstuff.com/), which means that there is potentially spam originating from your server. Make sure it is not an open relay, and if you are hosting websites, make sure that any mail scripts are securing (i.e., do not allow additional headers such as CC or BCC).
