problem with Patch-O-Matic

Hello friends,

I am developing the firewall in linux and want to use POM for the same now i want to know that how reliable it is.

I have heard from the that they are not considering it stable thats why it is not yet added in the kernel.

So I want suggestion on this from your side.....

Thanking you,

Have a nice time and good day.

POM just allows you to selectively install patches, so you don't need to install them all. In fact, you really shouldn't install them all because some netfilter extensions are more stable than others and some don't work at all.

Regarding POM itself, the netfilter team decided to stop releasing official versions, so you need to use whatever is the most recent build. If you're going to try POM, make sure to check the status of the extension that you plan on using to make sure that it works. I imagine that this will result in the experimental extensions occasionally breaking, but the more stable ones should be ok.
