It sounds like your system may be forcing passwords to 4 characters only. Try logging in with the first four letters of your password and see what happens.
Sorry if this isn't the case, but it's worth a try. |
Help still
no,
that didnt work any othr ideas guys plz help |
Check /etc/security/pam_pwcheck.
Look for a password: maxlength=4 entry. And by the way, this site has a spell checker. 17 mispellings on the first message make it hard to read. |
sorry about the spellings any other sujestions please plaese please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now take a deep breath. Relax. Your fellow LQ members noticed your thread. Do not attempt to bump your thread again without trying to answer the questions that where put to you. And yah, use the spellchecker. Even in your reply you made errors, making your apologies appear rather shallow. If you persist you risk everyone avoiding your cries for help in favour of something more pleasing to read or rewarding with respect to interaction. |

I don't know how to solve your problem, but have you tried what others have suggested? People are gonna give up trying to help you if you don't try their suggestions!

Irrelevant post, my apologies.

@T1ckT0ck: please don't just echo what others have said already if you have nothing to add.
