A quick Google brings up a very helpful looking page:
http://www.postfix.org/SMTPD_ACCESS_README.html
And another:
http://postfix.state-of-mind.de/patr...ilservers.html
If this is an external mail server though , be careful - you might end up disallowing any one from the outside world from sending you Email.
If its an internal mail server then by all means implement authentication as well as IP based restrictions.
Cheers
Arvind

Is your concern that they can send mail to other users, or that they can set "from" to be some other user?

Thank you for your reply.
I'd like to stop some users from setting their 'from' email address. They could use their own account ids only.
One more question, how to control the number of emails that a user could send in one day and how to control the sending rate?
thank you again!
