php mass mail


some is using my server php mail function to send mass mails to others. but I dont know who is he or which user is him.
all I can see from mail header is root@mydomain.com

is there a way to find out?
I have a redhat 7.2 and qmail 1.3 and php 4.3.3

Check you apache logs, I had a problem with this awhile ago and it was a .pl file in the cgi-bin that was vunerible to cross site scripting, you should see a bunch of POST and then a file, that is depending on the amount of traffic your server gets.

If you have a relitivly small amount of traffic you might want to do something like grep POST access_log and look for a pattern in it, if you get alot of traffic it won't tell you much.

I think that wont work cz this guy used only one POST with internal loop. so this is what I did
I look in my hosts for his pattern using
find . -type f -print | xargs grep <pattern>
