Hi,

About PGP and e-mail, be careful it's not compatible with all mail clients. I know it's compatible with mozilla mail client thanks to egnimail and also mutt.
But as iceman said, see gnupg site for more info

There are quite a few email clients that are compatible either GPG or PGP. With a few exceptions GPG users should be able to send to PGP users and vice-versa since GPG is designed to be OpenPGP compliant (RFC2440). I've been building a list of clients and plugins that support encryption. There are clients for multiple platforms.
