Permissions Problem - atd

This is proving to be a long day. I was installing a new package and screwed up. The install process went through / and changed the owner and group of ALL files to root/root. I am having a problem with the at daemon. I can not get it to run. I have looked around and can noit find what permissions I need for which supporting files. I can not start the daemon. I get the message: "Cannot change to /var/spool/atjobs: Permission denied" in the /var/log/messages file. The permissions for this directory is root/root. I am not sure what to change the permissions to.

Any help?

Thanks

Mike

Here's two ways to restore permissions.

1. Using RPM
rpm --setperms -qa

2. Using Aide (file integrity checker: you should have one)
zcat aide.db|egrep -ve "^(#|@)"|while read l; do l=( ${l} )
chmod ${l[2]} ${l[0]}; chown ${l[4]}:${l[5]} ${l[0]}; done
