passwd source code?

I am interested in doing some research on the "passwd" source code that runs on the linux platform. I have Gentoo running here, but have no idea where to locate the passwd source code? Is it a part of some larger package? Thanks in advance...

Use 'qpkg -f passwd' for getting package name.
