Question Passwd at login w GRUB and Windows partitions-Just give an opinion!

Hello :-) Here u can share your opinion!

Well
1) I`d like to make GRUB ask me for password before booting any in the computer and I dont know how to do it becuz I did the proper modifications but it stil boots with just an enter if some one could refer me 2 some usefull page IŽll be glad

2) ...By the way... I got a windows partion in my hd for games, and I`ve eard about Windows can be used as Trojan for Linux !; I put a zonealarm denying any lan or web contact, and I test with antivirus any program I install there, (that`s y I want a pass in boot time) I will be VERY glad if u can tell me if u consider this is enough 2 secure my windows 2 being used against my Linux?

As for the grub case, just read the output of
bash$info grub. I think there is a chapter on passwords.

Hai Carrie,

Well the chapter is not "passwords", but "security". If I got you right, you want grub to ask password before booting.
To do that, add the command "lock" after the root line of the OS you want to block in grub.conf. You can use lock to do a variety of such things. Read info for details and info on how to set passwords( though it is just like setting the grub modification password). If I didn't get you right or if you face any problems( you shouldn't ), please reply.
