NoMachine NX while still requiring key auth for SSH, possible?

Running Ubuntu 10.4
I have been through:

It seems to me that NoMachine NX requires you leave password authentication on for SSH; This way NoMachine can key-authenticate with NoMachine and "ask" ssh if you're who you say you are (user).

My big problem with that is brute force password attacks on SSH.

Should I just deal with it and look in to something like Fail2Ban or is there a better way?

Thanks. Really jammed up here.

Looking at post #2 in the ubuntuforums link, it looks to me like you can create the key for the user NX and keep the SSH login keys for your user. It has been a while since I have used NX, but I don't recall there being a requirement for leaving password authentication enabled.
