Yes there are ways to bypass security measures. The world is not perfect : nothing is 100% secure.

DNS Request Logging not working

I have tried both suggestions from this thread. However, I am not getting any entries in a log file that I can find. e.g. syslog, kernlog

/sbin/iptables -A INPUT --protocol tcp --source-port 80 --jump LOG --log-prefix "Website visited"
/sbin/iptables -A OUTPUT --protocol tcp --destination-port 80 --match state --state NEW --jump LOG --log-prefix "Website visited"

What might I be missing?

PS. After applying the new iptables entries I have restarted by the ufw service and dns service
a /sbin/iptables -L now shows the new entries.
