new install so what do i do

Hi,

What do people recommend i do for security on linux. I am the only user of this PC? I am told i dont need AV and firewall is built in.

which distribution? you may want to check for any updated packages...

fedora 7 the latest.
I use winwx and you need AV,firewalll malaware etc

Linux needs what, the same?

in Linux you do not usually need an anti-virus or anti malware, usually only a firewall, unless you are sharing files with windows machines
