When I was on Windows XP I had Kerio Personal Firewall. What I liked about it was I was able to use a very simple GUI interface to view all my connection logs and intrusion attempts. Right now I have SuSEFirewall2 and SNORT installed on SuSE 9.1 Personal. The thing is I like to do every thing from a pretty GUI. What do I need and what does every one recommend that I can install for a GUI to monitor NIDS on Linux? And will it let me change rules in SNORT through the GUI? I just want to point and click and have every thing done in less than 10 minutes.

If all you're looking for is a simple graphical-frontend for Snort, you can go with something like ACID . If you want something for graphically administering Snort itself, there is a webmin module available. Personally I think manually editting the snort.conf file is the best way to learn about all of its functions and using a point-and-drool interface really limits how much you can learn about some of the more powerful tools like Snort, my 2-cents anyway.
