need info on pam for single sign on

HI,

i am trying a single sign on on red hat9.0 and active directory. i am using samba and kerberos.

now every thing is ok till setting up smb.conf and kerberos etc etc.

but i always screw up things while fiddling up with pam files

i have to acheive a single sign on for the following.

gui prompt( on the fly creation of home directories and respective users controlling the directories)

ftp ( if the home directory has been created earlier then dont create if not create)

same for telnet.

can any one tell me what respective changes do i have to make in what files to do all this?

Hi!

I am interested in the same and am thinking of undertaking such a project.

Did you try using the 'authconfig' command that comes with RH. I guess that does all the necessary underlying changes pertinent to PAM / authentication etc.

Best Wishes
