mod_security problem

I got this on my cron.hourly emails:

/etc/cron.hourly/modsecparse.pl:

cp: cannot stat `/usr/local/apache/logs/audit_log': No such file or directory

a tech just installed mod_security (an addon for Cpanel) I heard they are no good, is it true? My server is running on centos 3.7, apache 1.3.37 2.4 kernel. How do you disable those cron.hourly emails? I don't want to receive one every hour. Thanks in advance for any help.

The problem is not with mod_security (it's not a Linux Security issue either) but with the addon and the tech for not properly configuring it. So get the "tech" to uninstall the Cpanel mod_security addon, download and read about mod_security, install by hand, then tweak the ruleset.
