Mandriva, Shorewall?

Hello!

I have Mandriva PowerPack 2006, which is supposed to have a "smart" firewall.

The problem is that there is no settings for it and I have never got any messages from it (which it is supposed to give me if I am attacked, however just because I have got no messages doesnt mean it isnt running I understand that)

I can't get bittorrent working on my PC so I think the firewall is running, but I am not sure. When I boot this appears:

Quote:
Starting Shorewall: [OK]
Is there anyway to make sure I am firewalled, and if I am, how do I enable bittorrent?

Thanks!

Go to configure your computer->security->set up firwall
Follow prompts-> Not sure about what must be open for bit torrent but try web and maybe ftp?,
Place to turn interactive firewall and portscan alerts on in there also

Bittorent uses port 6881 plus however many simultaneous bt clients you want. Standard was 6881-6889, but I think that's been increased to 6999.
