looking for LOG monitoring tool + action.


Hello all.
I'm searching for tool which would monitor log files for changes, and if for example there apears line like: 'Authentication failure for' then the monitoring tool would do something.

I remember using one script written in perl, but can't remember it's name, and a host which it was run on had hdd crash so I can't get script's name..




Any help apreciated, thanks !

i've been using sec.pl for htis sort of thing recently... maybe that's it. it's very handy and powerful.
