login information


sir, i want to make logs of information about each user that have logged into my pc.., for the security reasomn i want to know which user logged in to my system at what time,what commands the person has issued..
i used last command and got the login info, but i want to get history of commands that each user has issued sorted by user. when i type history, it just shows me command i have run.kindly help. is ther some way i can make logs of the commands given by each user..,and one more thing i waana knoe, in which file the commands issued by the user r stored so that we can have look at then through history commnad, ie where from the history command takes information about the commands executed..

If they use bash, for example, the commands get saved (usually) into .bash_history under their home directory (unless they clear the file). I'm not certain if other shells (like sh) create such a file too..
