Hi all

I am newbie at Hong Kong and is now in the process of developing an Live CD (fc4 + knoppix). I would like all users can launch the CD into gnome without keying in any username and password, and all users can start/end services, detect hardwares, mount/unmount devices, etc. etc.... However I am not able to let users do so if I set up autologin for them as normal users... While restarting some services, the normal users cannot do so and even if I used su, it doesn't seem to be working... I want to make it autologin as root... Is that possible? I am at my wits end... thanks a lot for all your advices in advance!!!

Autologin as root is a daft thing to do. If you need them to perform root account tasks set up a sudo task for them (and make it a NOPASSWD one).
