Linux or *nix-based firewall/router for PPPoE

Hello,

I have a 400 Mhz Celeron-based box which I have been playing around with, trying to get it to act as a router/firewall for my small network. It has two 10/100 fast ethernet cards, 12 Gb HDD, etc.

I want to turn it into a firewall/router.

I've tried IPcop, pfSense, and tried to install OpenBSD and Devil Linux.

Devil Linux wouldn't install.

For OpenBSD, IPcop, and pfSense, once I got to the network configuration, I couldn't find any option for PPPoE (I have Verizon FIOS). IPcop had one, but it didn't have a facility for my username and password, so it didn't work.

Does anyone have reccomendations for a firewall/router, based on Linux or another *nix (like BSD) that will support PPPoE?

Thanks.

I have used both IPCop and Smoothwall with PPPoE.
Are you logging on to the Web interface after installation?
