Question Linux nVidia related flaw. . .how serious ?

According to this link:

http://news.com.com/Exploit+code+pub...3-6126846.html

there is an nVidia Linux flaw that is a ". . .proof-of-concept code shows how an attacker could launch a buffer overflow and then commandeer the system."
