Linux i secure! I cant get into my computer
Hi!
My password expired!!!
I run Mandrake 8.2 and KDE at higher secure level.. I cant log in as root and neither can i log in as myself.. It just tells me to change my password imidiatly but wouldnt let me...
Well, shall I install Windows or???
Why cant i allways log in as root on the local machine???
I think its too much guessing during installprocess

I have LILO in this machine and there I can select
1. linux
2. linux-secure
3. failsafe
non is working, all require login!?! (
I guess i need to bring up a terminal some way ??

If you go to an option and press e does it let you change it?
You just need to add single to your append= line. Not sure how to do it in text mode, but yes, it should give you a console on screen once it is done, all single user mode does is fire the system up, then instead of going multuser, fires up bash.

just found out myself how to do *laughing at myself*
what problem?? I went in BIOS and put back the clock a mounth... then my password hadnt expired yet... it worked now ive logged in and changed the password to a new one... )
