LIDS, GRsecurity, RSBAC, SElinux
Which of these four programs can work with each other without any conflicts, and which ones offer the best control over one's system? I'm currently looking to learn a lot in hardening a linux system, and so usability doesn't concern me - rather, I find it fun to read docs on such programs. Any preferences on which to use and why?
Also, is it possible to use any of these with StegFS, or would said filesystem corrupt the others? |
Here is a Linux Journal article explaining the SELinux extended security attributes.
http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=7426 This is a Paper comparing SELinux and GRSecurity. http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~jcg8f/Gr...xCaseStudy.pdf They have some fundamental differences. It would be a matter or using either one or the other. Here is an SELinux paper on 'Securing the X Window System' http://www.nsa.gov/selinux/papers/X11_Study.pdf |
