LDAP Removal, No longer asking for a password
Hi All,
I recently tried to get LDAP user login working on a debian server, however a few problems meant I wanted to remove it to start again. My main problem is that when I login, no password is requested or required to login. After removing LDAP (SLAPD) and reverting my PAM configuration back I still have the same problem. I have also removed nscd and changed by nsswitch.conf file back to the how it was. As far as I can see my PAM config looks the same as a second machine running debian. Also programs like gdm/entranced do ask for the password and use it. Console logins work but don't request a password and ssh asks for a password but won't let you login.
Any Ideas?

Update
I have now fixed this issue.
As I thought my PAM config was wrong, although I still can't find the real problem. I know the source of my problem is common-* in /etc/pam.d/, however as a quick fix I copied across /etc/pam.d/entrance/ to /etc/pam.d/login, /etc/pam.d/ssh and /etc/pam.d/su. I also added some lines from the original files which seemed like they are required.
