keygen and genrsa


Hi,

trying to get my head around openssl and keys etc and I can't really work out what the (basic) difference is between keygen (ssh-keygen -t rsa) and genrsa?

I notice that genrsa is used more with certificates, but don't both of them just generate key pairs?


I'm a bit confused so any input is welcome.

ssh-keygen seems the easiest tool to use to help set up ssh, because it not only generates the keys, but puts them in the right place as well.
