kerberos Documentation

I can not find good documentation on kerveros authentication with Dovecot. Maybe i am googling the wrong thing but am quite confused now.

I am trying to setup kerberos so that i do not have to type in my password every time i login to a different server and my mail for mutt also for a learning process.

I have the following i can do a kinit and get a ticket ok klist return from my kerb server.

Quote:
Default principal: amputa@mywebsite.com

Valid starting Expires Service principal
03/12/07 16:02:09 03/13/07 16:02:07 krbtgt/mywebsite.com@mywebsite.com

Kerberos 4 ticket cache: /tmp/tkt1000
klist: You have no tickets cached
So now i want to setup this with dovecot but can not find a tutorial on this and its really annoying can anyone help me? I only thing that i have found was someone saying modify the dovecot.conf
from
mechanisms = plain
to
mechanisms = plain gssapi

I have checked the logs and am not getting any errors

Where do i go next? How do i kerberize services?

Thanks

So I am a step backwards now i run mutt with the configuration file

Quote:
set folder="imaps://mailserver/"
set spoolfile="imaps://mailserver/INBOX"
set mbox="imaps:///mailserver"
set imap_user="namit"
set imap_authenticators="GSSAPI"
but am getting

No authenticators available

The problem seams that mutt is not trying to authenticate off kerberos and give me my ticket.

Can anyone help ?
