Question KDE 3.5.5 Kmail and Kgpg encyption problems

Hello, All

I would like to say right now, thanks to everyone who helps.

OK well here is my problem i have a Suse 10.1 system running KDE 3.5.5, Kmail 1.9.5, and Kgpg 1.2.2. I have created the encryption keys with Kgpg just fine. As far as I can tell everything is good. When i go into Kmail configuration -> identities -> identities x -> cryptography and try to set the security key. I get an error.

One of the configured OpenPGP signing keys does not contain any user ID with the configured email address for this identity

I am not sure what the problem. I have looked at the packages and they all seem to be installed the gpg agent is running. But still nothing. I have searched google for the answer but haven't found anything.

I would greatly appreciate any help. Feel free to ask if something else is needed.

Thank You

Hey Leonard,
What are you actually trying to achieve? Is it that you want to use encryption while sending mail and are trying to do this through KDE?

I am not sure about how to do it through Kmail but a quick Google brought up this link. Hope you've looked at this

Hey Arvind,

That is right I am trying to send encrypted and key sighned messages with KMail. When I go to attach the key in the encryption setup up of the identity. I get an error telling me that the e-mail address doesn't match the address saved in my identity. I know the name and address are the same from the identity as well as the key because I coppied then across just to make sure.

I have done quite a bit of serching in google to come up empty handed. But thanks for the link and the reply. I appreciate it back to the digital drawing board.
