Question Is SQL Injection traceable and is it a serious offence?

Goodday.

Is SQL Injection traceable and is it a serious offence?

But i like to noe how serious is this offence?

& How to cover trace if break in?

Would like to hear from people who play with injection all the time!
Or is there anyone who caught, for doing this?

Thankyou.

Attempting to break into computers that you do not own is a crime and is certainly traceable unless you have taken measures to obfuscate/anonymize the attack. While sending malicious code to remote systems isn't likely to get you prison time, it IS a good way of getting your ISP to kick you off their network and send you or your parents hate mail.

Blackhat type posts are against the Linuxquestions.org site rules and asking for advice on how to cover your tracks after a successfull SQL injection would certainly fit under that category.
