Thus I choose GNU/Linux, not only because of the freedom, but because the best Desktop on the market, KDE, makes Windows desktop look and feel ridiculous.

The toolbox you have available is enourmous and powerful to.. Makes the Windows toolbox look like some cheap plastic multitool that can only be used on a very limited selection of screws.

You can have the KDE desktop with a secure kernel if you want.

I'd recommend Arch Hardened with SELinux to anyone. It might not be Subgraph or Qubes but at least you don't have to have next-gen hardware firmly in mind before even installation.

i treat all my boxes as compromised, i just try to reduce my boxes attack surface by using ad / javascript / flash / java / etc blockers. sometimes i use IDS (snort - suricata) if it easy to setup (like pfSense freebsd firewall).

Aside from the "adware removal tool" touted, their profile says "New York" as a location...and their website indicates Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Reported as yet another spammer.
