Iptables upgrade gives libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4) error

hi friends,

i am trying to upgrade my iptables to enable me use a match module but i have beeen having problems doing this. when ever i do this i get this andi have downloaded the failed dependency and installed it bit i still got the same thing. what am i not doing right. i need help pls.

rpm -U iptables-1.3.0-2.i386.rpm

libc.so.6 AFAIK is in Glibc version >= 2.3.2, else try compiling from source.

Nota bene: while iptables can be viewed as a tool that enhances security, this question was not about security but about installing something. Hence this thread should be moved to your distro's subforum or Linux General.
