iptables allow all

I need a temp. shutdown of my iptables firewall.

How do I allow all traffic both in and out.?

Accept all incoming connections
Allow all outgoing connections

$IPT = /sbin/iptables

$IPT -t filter -F
$IPT -t filter -P INPUT ACCEPT
$IPT -t filter -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
$IPT -t filter -P FORWARD ACCEPT

distro specific... doesn't work on all distros.

iptables -F
iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT

will work on any distro.
