Iptables?

Hello,
I'm using Suse 10. Can someone please tell me how to configure IPTABLES? it's so confusing!!

By default , if your SuSEfirewall_xxx start at boot time , the firewall they build is SuSE's .

If you plan to build yours , turn off your firewall-bootup (by chkconfig command) and then using iptables command after log in .
