A brief Google search turns up lots:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1954261

...which says that it does run on 12.04, but you need to compile from source, and gives you the link (http://sourceforge.net/projects/iplist/) to get it. If you followed that link, you'll download the source code and (once you uncompress it), you'll find the installation instructions...they're in a file called INSTALL. Follow them. You can also install ipblock (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1954261) for 12.04 as well.

thanks for that, I actually managed to do it with this http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php...29&postcount=6. It works and I have even replaced the existing list under the list tab, which now contains only one file lists.php taken from here http://www.iblocklist.com/lists.php thought so I wonder if this is correct or no. Is there anything else I need to do?
thanks
