IDS solutions
Im currently setting up a Gentoo Firewall/NAT box that will probably provide Samba, Cups, DNS and (possibly) web proxy services to the internal network. I was wondering what Netwok Intursion Detection systems people would recomend and what IDS solutions people would recomend for the Harddrive.
I was considering Snort + ACID for the NIDS and AIDE for the HD but I was wondering what people experiences with them have been
Thanks

Snort is great..
But a hardware IDS would be much better.
