How to turn back into root

If anyone here knows how to turn back into the superuser, can you please e-mail me on how to do so? I'm using that crazy LindowsOS thing, or Debian something, if I can't do this, I need to know at least on how to change my PC into WindowsXP or something, because I can't install anything or do anything except go online or play songs... so I'm really beginning to think this type of computer sucks. Your help would really be appreciated. By the way, I'm completely new to this type of Machine, so detailed instructions would be appreciated.

That way, no one else can benefit from your question. Keep it public.

I assume you created a user account for Lindows(like you should) and don't know how to use root...(if you did something else, explain what)

Open you Konsole/terminal (should be in your menu).
Type:
Code:
su
...give your root password and press enter...

Only use root if you really have to.
