How to run a live cd safely ???

Hello guys ,
1.I was wondering what are the actions needed after booting a live cd so as
to be in maximum safety....

2.Also I 've read somewhere that you can run it under lock+key
How can this be done and most of all what does it do?

Thanks in advance!

And what are the dangers when booting livecd? What livecd are you now talking about?
Are you worried about it can start overwriting your HDD contents without warning? Nothing happens itself.
Basically livecd only means to be running in RAM so i see no dangers at all. To be safe you may extract HDD that would be maximum safety =)

Also what is to run it under lock+key ?

Don't worry, it won't do anything to your HDD without your knowledge or permission.

P.S I was thinking that lock+key was a security technique or something like that.
