How to limit a user account even further

This is how the desktop looks like for the account STUDENT who bellongs to the following groups:
Code:
divjak@zavod1:~$ groups student
student : student adm cdrom floppy audio plugdev
image:
http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.p...5&d=1144942404

Since this machine will be used by lots of students, I would like the following settings for the account STUDENT:
1. students are only allowed access to what is on the DESKTOP and nothing else.
2. students mustn't be allowed to change anything on the desktop itself(deleting, changing, rearanging icons)
3. their home directory should have a QUOTA set of 5GB

ps. if theres something more to add or U would like to change someting please tell me. I would like all the help I can get..

okay, i went ahead and did a quick google for you... looks like gnome 2.14 does indeed com with this kinda tool:

Pessulus is a lockdown editor that allows administrators to easily disable certain features of the GNOME desktop, as may be desired in corporate environments and Internet cafes. While lockdown features have now been available in GNOME for many years, Pessulus makes it far easier for administrators to perform these tasks.

not sure if it has the same features as the kde one - you're gonna have to google it or try it to see...
