Question How to create a "jail" to a SSH server?

Good day.

While making SSH server, me and my co-workers came along with a problem. How are we able to limit the content what regular users can see while they are connected?

I am working at school, and the main idea is that students could connect themselves to our server, but we don't want them to be able to explore the whole file system. So is it possible, and how is it, to limit their access? So that they could only see their home folders or something like that?

Thanks already

Use a chroot prison, or run Linux in user-space (or a combination of the two).
