How secure is my Network
Hello.
Complete Linux newbie here. I have a small Windows network and I use WinProxy as a firewall/proxy. I have just installed Mandrake 9 and this is now my gateway. The installation was painless and the Internet connection is shared and is working well.
I have enabled Smoothwall as a Firewall & set security to 'High' . I guess my question is how secure is my network at these default settings (it is reconfigured after any network changes).
Am I safe enough ??
Thanks

Have you run a port scan on your external ip address? If not, go to http://www.pcflank.com and click advanced port scan. It will scan you and tell you if you have any ports open.
