How do you configure the temporary bypass feature of Dansguardian

Hi,

I have had dansguardian running successfully for several months, but now want to be able to use the temporary bypass feature. Unfotunately I'm not a regular user of linux,so need someone who can give me a hand on how to do this.

I searched the web and found another person had written something to do it but the file download link is broken.

Any help gratefully recieved
.

Further to the above, I found another link to the same patch, and instructions, downloaded this and now my dansgaurdian wont start. I've followed the un-install instructions but still no go. how do I tell whats preventing dansguardian from starting ?

Fixed - installation changed permissions on TMP directory

If you authenticate your user, there's an option to allow that user to bypass. I haven't got it working yet in dg (works in squid though)... apparantly user authentication is tricky.

I use webmin (nice web-based app) to manage the firewall apps, including dansguardian. I recommend you d/l webmin (www.webmin.com) and get the dansguardian plug-in (www.sourceforge.net/projects/dgwebminmodule)

The webmin module puts all the dansguardian options in simple icons for you to access. There's an option to allow users to bypass dg filter.
