How can I prevent re-use of last three passwords?

I need to enforce a requirement that a user not re-use their last three passwords. I'm running a mix of SuSE Enterprise 10, OpenSuSE 10 and SuSE Professional 9.3. I haven't seen what I needed in the man pages. Is there way to put this rule in place?

Thanks in Advance!
Dave
