Hiding other users processes

I had a shell on a server a few months ago, where when you did "ps aux" you only could see processes that were owned by you. I'm curious as to how I can set this up on my own server, to give my users some privacy from each other. Of course, root should still be able to see what everyone is doing. I tried searching google, but I just got lots of rootkits info and that doesn't seem to be of much use to me in this situation.

Openwall has a kernel patch which can disallow access to /proc/. I haven't used it but i bet grsecurity has something of the sort as well.
